What is SMP?
Scalp Micro Pigmentation or SMP is a non-surgical, innovative and effective hair loss solution that’s helped thousands of people overcome their biggest insecurity. This procedure is also known as a “scalp tattoo” or “hair tattoo” A certified SMP artist uses micro-needles to add pigment to the skin to replicate the appearance of hair follicles in order to cover up balding(alopecia), thinning hair, receding hairlines or scars. A complete procedure typically takes 2-3 sessions. Each session is usually 14 days apart and each sessions time can vary, 2-3 hours is about per session industry average. SMP can be done on men, women and all ethnicities. A consultation with a SMP artist is required before each service. Jaime is a Master barber who has over 18 years experience in barbering. For years he’s heard clients express their concerns when they start noticing their hair loss but he never had a real solution. After learning about SMP he knew this was a craft that was within the same realm of what he already did. Making people feel better and restoring self confidence is what he enjoys most about barbering so its only right that he would enter the hair loss industry as well. Jaime’s expertise in barbering has helped him tremendously in accelerating his career as a SMP practitioner. Jaime was trained and certified in SMP at 6e/mp® In Tampa, Florida by Jesse Lima. Since his training in Florida he has had additional training from various artist from around the world and attends yearly continued education events. With this industry being new to our area Jaime has put extra emphasis on educating people about SMP because most people don’t know it is a option for hair loss. 509 SMP is here to HELP!
